Dr. Schmidt moved to the Berkshires and joined Dr. Sandrew's practice in June 2011. Originally from Avon, CT, he received his bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, specifically cell and tissue engineering, with honors from the University of Rochester in 2004. From there, he returned to Connecticut, where he earned his dental training from the University of Connecticut in 2008. Dr. Schmidt continued his education by again returning to Rochester. At the University of Rochester Eastman Institute of Oral Health, he received his Certificate in Periodontology and Dental Implants. Dr. Schmidt is a board-certified practitioner. Through all of this training, he has had the support of his wife, Jackie, and three children, Kylie, Cole, and Adleigh.

I had to take a moment to think of why I told each staff member when I left the office that I thought they and their office staff were incredible. I meant it. Who walks out of a periodontal office, never mind dentist office, with a smile on their face? I thought, "that was easy!" First, making an appointment was easy and met my scheduling needs. At my initial appointment, I was seen within 1 minute of arrival and treated with kindness and respect. Not that I expected anything else, but this seemed different actually increasing my confidence in what I was about to experience. I felt a connection to the staff: our conversation was professional yet with interestes shared and light humor. Dr. Schmidt and his team were organized and efficient. I was informed with what procedure was being done prior to it happening. Before I knew it, the procedure was completed. I left with both thorough verbal and written instructions and a follow-up appointment. On follow-up, for suture removal, I had ZERO complications. I am relieved! LCM Richmond, MA.
Had a post op visit which allayed my fears and gave me the information I needed to manage my recovery. Warm and engaging providers all around.
I have not been to this location actually, but have had dental work done from Dr. Schmidt. I cannot say enough positive things about him. Was very gentle, made you feel quite relaxed, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Highly recommend him if you need his type of dental work performed.
